Matthew Frost Software Developer

As a software developer at Datum360 I find myself working on brand new software, researching and supporting the existing SaaS platform. This allows me to gain a greater understanding of all aspects of the software as well as how it is used by end users.

Since joining Datum360 I have learnt a lot technically and professionally. Working with colleagues both in the office and all over the world means that we must make sure that our communication and time management skills are really on point. Having such a close-knit development team means that we’re constantly helping each other out and learning from each other.

The best thing about working at Datum360 is the freedom we’re all given to approach things in our own way and how easy it is for anyone’s voice to be heard by anyone in the company.

My Career at Datum360 is interesting and varied and has afforded me to work and live in some pretty amazing parts of the world! I’m currently working in Australia, having returned from Singapore not long before that, so the people I get to work with are from all sorts of different backgrounds and cultures, which has helped me develop both professionally and personally.

There are plenty of opportunities to be involved in all levels and aspects of data management, I have a data analysis/cleansing background, previously, I was only involved at the tail end of the information life cycle, but now I am working alongside our clients at the very beginning , helping shape infrastructures and workflows with the End in Mind of incredibly connected data.

I love the way we operate as a company, with honesty and integrity. It was one of the first things that attracted me to working with Datum360. If we can do what’s requested, we do it (and do it well), if we can’t we are honest about that, we never promise a Client anything that we don’t already do, but we are always open to developing ourselves and our services to meet new and exciting requirements!

Working within a combination of industry, technology and experience levels, means that no two days are the same. I love taking each individual set of requirements, combining them with Information Management Best Practices, new technology and the underlying Datum360 platform creating a practical working solution for each client.

We have a really strong team culture, always learning from each other and everybody in the team is an equal. Everybody brings unique skills, experience and personality to the team. One thing we all have in common though, is a passion for improvement and simplicity. We are not restricted to our ‘day jobs’ rather we are all empowered to make changes and suggestions to provide innovative and practical solutions both internally and for our clients.

There are lots of opportunities to travel and work with people from all around the world, which I absolutely love.
